Description

Red and elongated round tomato, sometimes with a small tip. One of the best pasta tomatoes and also suitable for eating raw due to its good taste. Tall-growing with an abundant yield. An old variety of the Amish people, who emigrated from Europe to the USA in the last century. Due to their traditional way of life, many old tomatoes and other vegetables have been preserved by the Amish people.

Growing tips

Pre-grow indoors from the end of February to mid-March. Ideal germination temperature 22° - 25°. After germination, place in a sunny and very bright window in a cooler place. The less light is available, the cooler the young plants must be kept to avoid overgrowth. Plant out after the last frosts from mid-May. Tomatoes are heavy feeders and need a nutrient-rich potting soil, but over-fertilization with nitrogen should be avoided.
