Forms juicy, tasty, purple spears from the end of March. Buds turn green when cooked. Inflorescences, stem bases, stalks and leaves edible. The stalk has the flavor of green asparagus. Therefore, broccoli was formerly known as asparagus cabbage.

Germination after 7-12 days at 15-18°C. Harvest time, depending on the sowing date and pre-breeding: just before flowering from late autumn to spring. Store in a cool, dark place in the vegetable compartment of the refrigerator and not much longer than 3 days. Protect from excessive frost.
