Attractive old variety with particularly dark, reddish-brown leaves. Mild, full flavor. This variety has loose leaves and does not form a heart. Winged lettuce, the leaves are harvested from the outside in. The red color always indicates a content of anthocyanins - the substance that has been identified as an important health substance in vegetables & fruit. The variety is high-yielding and is suitable for both spring and fall cultivation.
