Romaine lettuce Xaroma is a very tasty, dark green Romaine lettuce with an ideal size and the best characteristics. Very hardy even in cooler temperatures. Harvest as soon as a firm head has developed. Very easy to harvest by covering with foil / fleece.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
From Feb. to Aug. early sowing in seed trays, later directly in the field. Cover the seed only very thinly with soil. Sow unevenly, after 6-15 days at an optimum temperature of 10-16°C. Higher temperatures can inhibit germination. Row spacing 30cm, in the row 30cm. If necessary, move to a distance after emergence. Do not plant too deep. Preferably sunny, prefers loose, humus-rich soils, heavy soils are unsuitable. Fertilize only very carefully, lettuces are very sensitive to salt.
