The lettuce comes from Maria Lankowitz in western Styria and was once grown on the "Huabn auf da Alm" and is still propagated there today. The medium green Krachsalat with coarsely blistered leaves is head-forming and of medium firmness. Typical for this variety is also the reddish tinge on the leaf edge.
