Overwintering artist winter maria is especially suitable on heavy soils, which remain cold and wet for a long time in the spring. It quickly forms many red colored leaves. Ideal for spring harvest and is typically sown in late summer. It forms loose heads with attractive red coloration and numerous soft leaves with pleasant taste.
Non hybrid
Frostproof
Germination after 5-14 days at 12-16°C. Sowing in February is also possible. But shoots easily, so do not sow from March to July. Do not sow on freshly fertilized soil. Loosen soil and keep well moist. Prick out after 2 weeks. In winter, cover with a fleece for protection. Sow every 2-3 weeks for a continuous crop. Transplant at about 5 cm, do not set too deep when planting out.
