Gray variegated are proven, no-hull and high-yield sugar snap peas with very tasty, light green pods without parchment layer. Height depending on the crop between 50-120 cm/19.7-47.2 in. Good resistance to diseases. (From Dürr)
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
The seeds can be soaked overnight in chamomile tea, this should help to improve germination. Germination from about 8°C/46°F soil temperature, optimal 20°C/68°F after about 7-10 days. For early sowing under foil or fleece possible. Can be grown without climbing aid, as it is self-supporting. Especially during flower and pod formation, always keep evenly moist to prevent them from falling off. Process immediately after picking, after 2-3 days they convert sugar to starch and become bitter and mealy. (From Dürr)
