Zufalo is an aromatic sugar snap pea with round, thick-walled, fully fleshed, stringless pods up to approx. 10 cm long, 6-8 seeds per pod. This variety can be used both as a whole pod and later as a ripe pea. Zufalo is resistant to powdery mildew. Growth height 15-80 cm.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Sowing under foil or fleece is possible for early sowing. Germination takes place from a soil temperature of approx. 6°C, optimally 20°C. Depending on the temperature, germination takes approx. 7-10 days. First harvest approx. 12-14 weeks after sowing. Process immediately after picking, after 2-3 days they convert sugar to starch and become bitter and mealy. Further cultivation tips for peas. The sowing time varies depending on the variety. In general, early sowing is preferable, as diseases can occur more frequently with later sowing. Pre-cultivation approx. 2 weeks before the planting date is also possible, but not absolutely necessary. Peas need a climbing aid, trellises are best suited for this. They are also well suited as a pre-crop, as they are harvested early. You should take a cultivation break of 3-5 years with nightshade plants and other legumes.
