'Waverex' grows only about 60 cm tall, but produces a huge amount of small pods filled with tiny delicious peas (petit pois) for its small size. The peas are so aromatic and sweet that they can be eaten raw in salads, but they are equally delicious when cooked. Due to their relatively small size, they are also suitable for growing in containers or small gardens.
Non hybrid
Frostproof
Sow outdoors from a soil temperature of 8°C in March or April. Sowing depth approx. 4-5 cm. Peas like a sunny location in nutrient-rich, well-drained soil, which must never be acidic. Bamboo poles or trellises are suitable as climbing aids. As soon as you feel the seeds in the pod, the peas are ready to harvest. The more you harvest, the more pods the plant will produce. As the sugar they contain decomposes quite quickly, they taste sweetest immediately after harvesting.
