This variety forms medium-sized, flat-round onions with white flesh. It is fast growing and is taken for continuous fresh consumption. The smallest onionlets can be pickled or added for pickle preservation. It has only a short shelf life. The young leafy greens can also be harvested like shallots. In the main growing season of June/July, water vigorously if necessary when the leaf tips turn yellow, but not too often.
