'Pimiento de Padron' comes from Spain. Very high yielding variety. Produces small, elongated, thin-walled fruits. What is striking about this variety is that the pods can look very different and can also vary in spiciness. So there are often many mild pods, and then suddenly a neat fiery. The pods are usually harvested green at a maximum length of 5cm as roasting peppers. Larger fruits become hot.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
If you harvest the first flower, the plant has more energy for further flower and fruit set. The yield and taste are significantly improved.
