This chili variety belongs to the species Capsicum baccatum and grows very large and branched with large leaves. The shape of the fruits is reminiscent of star-shaped UFOs or small starfish, hence their name. The chilies ripen to a bright red and develop a strong spiciness along with a sweet fruity flavor. They are suitable for fresh consumption, cooking, pickling and drying.
