The small, funny fruits with their medium pungency develop to fruit maturity in about 65 days. They ripen from green to yellow-orange to red and are then up to 7 cm long and 2.5 cm thick at maturity. The chili plant grows bushy with beautiful foliage. Thereby the stem, the petioles and the leaf veins are clearly hairy! Peter Pepper originated in East Texas and Louisiana, but is now also grown in Mexico.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Sowing chili seeds should be in February or March. Since the plants need 4 to 6 months until fruit ripening, it is important to start early.
