The slender fruits, rounded at the tip, grow to 2 to 2.5 cm long, with a diameter of about 8 mm. As typical of a certain type of hot Calabrian peperoncini, the pods grow upright in groups. However, before they ripen red, they go through all possible hues, including yellow, orange and purple. Dried, they can be used as a spicy condiment. Planted densely together, a uniform colorful hedge can be created. However, abbraccio is also excellent as a pot plant. This very attractive variety was bred by Dr. Mario Dadomo. Ripened red in about 90 days.
