Description

Perennial vegetable and seasoning plant for the kitchen garden. In this type of onion, especially the aromatic villi are taken as a vitamin-rich food in early spring and through the summer. The greenish-white flower balls are also edible. Rapidly regrowing and hardy.

Growing tips

Plant forms regular canes, which can be divided every 2 - 3 years or re-growing. "Winter hedge onion" can also be grown as an annual bunch onion. No bulb formation, only weak thickening.
