The winter hedge onion is hardy and thrives for a long time in the same location (perennial). The bulbs (green leaves) are much thicker than chives, which they resemble in taste and use. Freddy thrives in all garden soils. Both the white bulbs and the foliage can be harvested, depending on preference and stage of maturity. Ideal with cottage cheese, salads or egg dishes.
Non hybrid
Frostproof
Germination after 15-30 days at 10-15°C. Harvesting of spring sowing is possible from the end of June to October, and for autumn sowing or perennial cultivation from the end of April of the following year. Freddy does not tolerate waterlogging!
