Description
Wild sea kale is a rare gourmet vegetable. It has large, fleshy cabbage leaves that can be picked young. In the Middle Ages, the tender leaf stalks, comparable to broccoli, were eaten steamed. Bleached shoots in spring are especially tasty.

Zur Aussaat die Samen einen Tag lang in Wasser vorquellen lassen, dann ca. 1-2 cm tief einsäen. Voranzucht empfohlen. Kaltkeimer - braucht vor der Keimung einen Kältereiz z.B. im Kühlschrank. Mehrjährig und winterhart, in rauen Lagen mit etwas Reisig abdecken. Für Permakulturbeet geeignet. Durch seine imposante Wuchsform und seine reiche Blütenpracht ist er auch als Zierpflanze z. B. im Vorgarten attraktiv.
