Description

The robust Chinese cabbage 'Kilakin' is a grateful choice for your vegetable patch, as it is resistant to cabbage hernia and bolting. This resistance simplifies its care and makes it popular for home cultivation. In addition, the F1 hybrid of the Profi-Line is also sought after for its delicate, juicy leaves. The foliage contains very few calories, but all the more fiber, which makes it a healthy and popular component in a wide variety of dishes. The center of the layered cabbage is a beautiful yellow color, making the compact 'Kilakin' with its cylindrical heavy heads not only pleasing to the palate but also to the eye. The cabbage is harvested from June to October and then keeps well in winter storage.

Growing tips

Do you have a heated greenhouse? Then you can also cultivate this variety in early cultivation. To overcome the tendency to bolt, the young plants need a minimum temperature of 15 °C from sowing to planting out in May. If sown in midsummer, the plants will also thrive without this trick.
