The Aji Charapita Yellow Chili comes from the border region of Peru to Brazil and is considered the most expensive chili in the world, it is also called caviar chili. Its fruits are small, yellow and rather inconspicuous, but they have a fiery heat of 50,000 - 100,000 Scoville. Their taste is delicate: fruity, floral and exotic. The cultivation period of the plants is long and from sowing to harvesting you have to expect 7 to 10 months. The plants grow bushy branched, can grow up to 150 cm tall and have a high yield. In Peru, it is also eaten fresh and is used to season sauces and salsas, to which it adds a fruity flavor. In most cases, however, it is used in powder form and lends its typical flavor to stews, stews and sauces.
