Brassica rapa var. chinensis Originally from China, this low leafy vegetable grows to a height of 15-20 cm and impresses with its attractive rosette of leaves, which appear gilded in cool weather. The variety is absolutely cold-loving and predestined for cultivation in the off-season. The tender leaves are a particularly tasty addition to winter cuisine when cooked or raw in salads.
