Variety 'Boltardy' produces medium-sized (up to 10 cm), dark red, beautiful, round beets, very suitable for canning or fresh consumption. Undemanding, high-yielding, reliable variety whose flesh is tender (harvested early), crisp, ring-free and sweet. Ideal for early sowing. It does not tend to bolt. The baby leaves can be harvested during the season for salad use.
