"Bull's Blood" is an old beet variety that is thought to have originated in the Netherlands from the very old French variety "Craupadine". The whole plant, including the foliage, is intensely red in color. Young leaves can be used for colorful salad mixes. The roots are turnip-shaped, the flesh somewhat curled and very tasty.
