The dark red, round, large, very smooth beet comes from near Bernstein in Burgenland. The flesh is intensely red in color, tastes sweet and is aromatic. Robust even under dry conditions. The young leaves can be prepared fresh or cooked like chard.

Pre-growing in the greenhouse possible from March on root days for earlier harvest. Germination temperature 10-20 °C, germination period 7-10 days. Soil loosening, mulching recommended, if necessary, separate to 10cm, water evenly.
