Roll-shaped, elongated, juicy, tasty turnips with uniform, dark red flesh. Does not form rings. 15-20cm long. Storable F1 hybrid.
F1 Hybrid
Not frost resistant
Taunus' is only sown from mid-April to prevent it flowering too early (below 10°C). Prefers nutrient-rich (but not freshly fertilized), loose, deep soil in a sunny, semi-shady location. Germination period 1-3 weeks at 15-22°C. With a regular supply of water, a high-yielding and high-quality harvest is possible from July to November. It is important to harvest the beet before the first frost. However, this is not a limitation, as the vegetables keep well in winter until the following spring.
