Also called '(Noire) D' Egypte'. Short-leaved, with dark red flesh without rings, smooth skin and fine roots. Early, fast-growing variety with good shoot resistance. Flat-round shape. Specialty for the hobby. Undemanding colorful vegetable, which is also extremely appreciated in diet cuisine and is also a tremendous enrichment for the winter menu.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Red beets thrive in any soil and are very unpretentious, but protect from drought and night frosts. Sow in rows. Germination temperature: 18-20°C. Germination period: 5-10 days. Separate after the appearance of the 2nd leaf. When harvesting, twist off the leaves (use like chard), do not damage the tuber. Best sowing for storage fruits May/June.
