The Rubelitta cherry tomato is a modern, high-yielding variety with small, bright red fruits that ripen in dense clusters. It is characterized by a sweet, fruity aroma and firm skin, which makes it long-lasting and resistant to bursting. Rubelitta is ideal for snacking, salads, and fresh consumption. The plants grow vigorously, are cultivated as stake tomatoes, and prefer a sunny, warm, and sheltered location.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
The cherry tomato 'Rubelitta' prefers a sunny, warm and preferably rain-protected location. The soil should be loose, humus-rich and very nutritious and kept evenly moist without waterlogging. As a pole tomato, it requires a stable climbing support and is usually cultivated with one or two shoots, with side shoots being thinned out regularly. Due to its high yield, 'Rubelitta' has an increased nutrient requirement and benefits from a continuous supply of organic tomato fertilizer or compost. Regular watering close to the ground - ideally in the morning hours - prevents fruit bursting and blossom end rot. To ensure good aeration and prevent disease, the lower leaves should be gradually removed. Regular harvesting promotes long, even fruiting well into the fall.
