The 'Venus' variety is a dwarf tomato. The small plants are only approx. 25 cm high and bear orange cherry tomatoes. They are quite productive for their size. 'Venus' is an early variety and takes around 55 days from fertilization to ripening. Up to 8 fruits grow on each of the numerous panicles; they are 2 to 3 cm in size and weigh around 15 g. The round fruits have 2 fruit chambers, juicy soft flesh and are enclosed in a largely burst-proof skin. The taste of these small, crunchy tomatoes is fruity and sweet and sour.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Tomatoes require a lot of light, warmth, water and nutrients. They are grown from seed on the windowsill from March. The seedlings should be planted deep, up to the first leaf base, so that the root system is enlarged by additional lateral roots. Unlike most other crops, tomatoes should always be planted in the same place. Under-sowing with low-growing plants is a good option.
