Tomato seeds are sown 0.5-1 cm deep in seed trays or small pots with moist sowing soil. The substrate temperature must never fall below 15°C, otherwise growth stagnation may occur. From mid-May, when it is frost-free and warm enough, the young plants can be planted out in the open or in a greenhouse. The side shoots of bush tomatoes must not be removed.
