Description

Watermelon or "red meat" is a round, white-green tuber with red flesh that looks like a watermelon. Very decorative and a real eye-catcher for various snack platters or simply served on a plate. The crunchy flesh and nutty, slightly peppery taste make the winter radish ideal for salads.

Growing tips

This variety can also be sown in August/September. If sown during the warm season, the plants will only sprout and hardly form any tubers. It is harvested when it is the size of a golf ball. If it is allowed to grow further, it reaches the size of a honeydew melon and is no longer as aromatic.
