'Mirta' lamb's lettuce is a fast-growing, high-yielding, medium-green, semi-upright variety. This lamb's lettuce produces medium narrow, short, oval, medium-thick leaves in abundance. Year-round cultivation, protected in winter in a frost-free greenhouse or cold frame, has made lamb's lettuce a quality leafy vegetable. Its mild, slightly nutty flavor makes it popular all year round and can be enjoyed both combined with fine fillets, nuts, seeds or fruit.
F1 Hybrid
Frostproof
The soil should always be moist enough in a sunny place. Medium-heavy, weed-poor, deep loose soil has proved successful. Periods of heat cause stress. Lamb's lettuce can also be cultivated very well in pots or balcony boxes.
