High-yielding onion for winter cultivation. Early, bolt-resistant variety. Forms large, round to flat onions with yellow skin and white flesh. Harvest the green half-ready as a spring onion as early as April. Otherwise harvest from May/June. Can be stored for 3-4 months.
F1 Hybrid
Frostproof
Plant onion sets in loose, unfertilized soil from mid-September until frost. Plant the onion sets with a flat hand just deep enough into the soil so that the tip is still sticking out of the ground. This variety is particularly hardy. However, if a lot of green has already formed, it is advisable to protect it with fleece in the event of heavy frost. The green parts can be harvested either as leek/spring onions or from the end of May as an edible onion. Harvest as soon as the leaves snap and turn yellow by themselves and the leaf base dries up. You should wait for a dry, sunny day to do this. After harvesting, dry for a few days in a sunny place protected from the rain so that the skin hardens to increase the shelf life. Shelf life for 3-4 months.
