Description

The shiny, ivory-colored fruits are already rice when they are only 7-10 cm/2.8-3.9 in long and do not become bitter when ripening. Cultivation in a tub limits the plant height to 90 cm/35.4 in and width to 60 cm/23.6 in. Since Gretel is largely seedless, this variety is particularly suitable for stewing and frying.

Growing tips

Grow at 18-21°C/64-70°F, after germination further culture at 15 degrees. Plant out after the last frost. When the first fruits form, fertilize weekly with potassium-containing tomato fertilizer. Pick through regularly to extend the harvest season. Particularly well suited for container planting, then growth height up to 90 cm/35.4 in.
