Medium-late variety, also known as giant strawberry or Gigantella. Strawberry Gigantella Maxim bears dark red, firm fruits, which in some cases can weigh up to 100 grams. Amazing is the fact that despite the size, the Maxim strawberry produces a wonderful strawberry flavor. So the myth that all giant strawberries have a bland to watery taste is not true in this case. With the Maxim strawberry, a firm, juicy-aromatic flesh and good to high yields round out the positive overall impression. Maxim strawberries after harvest are excellent for desserts, as well as for jam making. Their shelf life is good. Hardy. Juicy-sweet taste. Perennial. Self-pollinating.
Non hybrid
Frostproof
High water requirement in drought conditions. A few weeks after harvest, cut off the outer leaves except for the heart leaves. More growing tips at the species strawberry.
