Description

Renaissance is a new gourmet variety from Hansabred GmbH. It is single-bearing and can be classified in the medium-late harvest range. It impresses with its excellent flavor, which is reminiscent of wild berries. The yield is very good and the glossy, medium-red fruits are easy to pick (even without the calyx). The fruit size of the highly aromatic berries is between 19-20 grams/fruit and the flesh is firm. The unusual heart shape of the fruit gives it that special "something". It has a well-balanced sweetness-acidity ratio. The plants grow vigorously and are very hardy. Yields good to very good, no obvious susceptibilities.

Growing tips

The Renaissance strawberry plant is very vigorous and is therefore ideal for the garden. The plants are hardy and do not require another strawberry variety for pollination. The perfect location for your Renaissance strawberry plants is semi-shady to sunny. The ripening period is medium-late and begins in June. Renaissance can be grown as a good complement to the strawberry plants Senga Sengana, Sonata or Polka. In general, the plant health of the Renaissance strawberry variety is very good, with tolerance to mildew, botrytis and Phytophthora cactorum. Further cultivation tips for the strawberry variety.
