New variant of the 'Mieze Schindler'. Also called 'Kitty Nova'. No longer requires a 2nd plant for fertilization, but self-pollinating. The vibrant red fruits are larger and firmer, less sensitive to pressure and higher yielding. Typical pussy taste. Resistant to powdery mildew and drought.
F1 Hybrid
Frostproof
Water the root ball well before planting. Fragaria ananassa 'Neue Mieze' is a sun child. As a shallow rooter, it needs loose, humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil. Regular watering will guarantee fruiting success. Mulch the bed with straw, this protects the soil from drying out and the berries from rotting! The white, single flower with yellow center adorns the strong, dark green foliage from May to June. To ensure that the 'New Kitty' has enough space, a distance of 70 to 90 cm between rows and 25 to 30 cm between individual specimens is recommended. When planting, care should be taken to ensure that the heart bud protrudes from the soil. Weekly applications of berry fertilizer provide the plant with the most important nutrients. With this, nothing will stand in the way of a rich harvest! After harvesting, remove all outer leaves. Mulching with straw is recommended.
