Description

Old variety. Beautiful English sprouting broccoli variety, which instead of a large head, forms many small purple shoots. Grows very bushy. Delicate, delicate flavor. To be used like broccoli. Harvest (from late fall (only in mild winters)), usually from March/April of the following year. Biennial.

Non hybrid

Frostproof

Growing tips

Germination after 7-12 days at 15-20°C. Protect from severe frost. Direct sowing from April also possible, then the harvest is a little later. Planting out plants is sometimes possible until November. Harvest as soon as the shoots have developed but not yet opened. Harvest central shoot first, this promotes the growth of the remaining shoots. (Source: seed-bee.com, magicgardenseeds.com)
