Morado comes from Spain and is a winter garlic. It is white and purple in color and has a spicy and pungent flavor. Winter hardy and needs a relatively large amount of sun to develop its typical coloration and flavor. Forms about 8-14 cloves.

Propagation of garlic is carried out by dividing the bulbs or by sticking bulbs. The cloves are placed individually in the soil with the tip up. Harvesting can begin when the tips of the leaves dry, change color and bend downward. Hang in an airy place to re-dry.
