Yellow, Russian variety. The beautiful fruits taste sweet, making them ideal for fresh consumption. The fruit weight is 60-90g per fruit. Up to 5 kg can be harvested from one plant. Fruits ripen early. Green fruits can be eaten cooked. Growing height approx. 150cm.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Sowing begins at the end of January in a warm and bright place. Temperatures around 25°C are ideal. Physalis are light germinators, but also grow quite well underground. The seedlings grow slowly at first and must be kept moist at all times. They can then be pricked out after 3 weeks. The physalis can then be planted outdoors after the Ice Saints. The shrub will set fruit around three to four months after sowing. It is advisable to "plant" a support at the same time. You can recognize ripe fruit by the brown discoloured and dried out husk. Tip: To ensure sufficient fertilization, you should grow 2 plants next to each other. However, one alone also works. Further cultivation tips for the physalis species
