Description

Spring barley thrives on well-aerated soils. It is very sensitive to waterlogging. Loosen the soil regularly to ensure good aeration and rootability. Otherwise, barley is not very demanding. It has a healthy effect in vegetable crop rotations and can be used well with legumes for green manuring. Sowing should be done as early as possible, but later sowing is still possible.
