Mammoth is a Greek basil variety that grows bushy and forms very large leaves. Its name is due to the large leaves. This variety is one of the largest basil. This basil has a floral aroma with a slight hint of cinnamon. It is hardy to light frosts and can be planted out as early as March in mild locations. It can be easily identified by its red stems, but it rarely produces the pink flowers.
