Description

Cross of red basil with camphor basil. The taste is a mixture of camphor and vanilla, freshly harvested best, a little more tart, yet is best suited for seasoning Mediterranean dishes, tomato soup or classic with tomato mozzarella. The pink flowers are edible, decorative and attract bees. Perennial if frost-free. Propagation by cuttings or seeds (if they are formed). In winter it likes temperatures around 10°C/50°F and rooms should be bright. Good care allows the perennial plant over the years to grow into a handsome bush of about 80 cm/31.5 in.

Not frost resistant
