Description

Hanf ist eine einjährige Pflanze, die verschieden verschieden genutzt werden kann werden. Zum Einen kann man sie zur Gewinnung von Fasern anbauen. Zum Anderen wird sie auch gerne angebaut, um die Blüten oder Samen der Cannabispflanze zu ernten. Je nach Nutzung unterscheidet sich der Saatzeitpunkt: Für die Fasergewinnung Mitte März bis Mitte April und für die Gewinnung von Blüten/Samen Ende April bis Anfang Mai. Die Pflanzabstände variieren stark je nach Sorte und Unterart. Pflanzen der Unterart Cannabis sativa L. wachsen meist eher meist in die Höhe, während Sorten der Unterart Cannabis indica meist kleinwüchsig sind und buschiger wachsen. Hemp is an annual plant that can be used in a variety of ways. On the one hand, it can be grown to produce fiber. On the other hand, it is also often grown to harvest the flowers or seeds of the cannabis plant. The time of sowing varies depending on the use: for fiber production, mid-March to mid-April, and for flowers/seeds, late April to early May. Plants of the subspecies Cannabis sativa L. tend to grow taller, while varieties of the subspecies Cannabis indica tend to be shorter and grow bushier.

Growing tips

Cannabis is a dioecious plant that forms plants with male and female flowers. This is important if you want to obtain flowers or seeds. Hemp is very suitable for organic cultivation because the plant is robust, undemanding and competitive. In addition, diseases and pests are often not a problem. Thanks to its deep taproots, hemp copes very well with drought. Please note: In Germany, a maximum of three cannabis plants are permitted for flower production in a private household and per adult person!
