Bushy, early zuccetti variety with yellow fruits with very tender skin. Open growth. In cultivation like green-fruited varieties.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Germination temperature: 16-24°C. Germination time: 8-14 days. Harden off before planting. Likes warm, wind-protected locations. Sensitive to frost. Several plants can pollinate each other. Harvest regularly so new fruit will form continuously. Fertilize and water regularly. Observe crop rotation (recommended growing interval: 4 years). Home-grown seeds are strongly discouraged for zucchini because the toxic bitter substance cucurbitacin can form. Mixed cultivation with borage promotes pollination. Pumpkins and zucchinis of the same species can interbreed, zucchini can become bitter and inedible or poisonous (due to so-called curcurbitacins).
