Description

White zucchini with a pronounced flavor. Originates from Sicily. Early ripening. High yield. Incredibly tender when very young (ø 2 cm). Soft skin with crunchy flesh. Open growth. Germination after 6-14 days at 22-26°C.

Non hybrid

Not frost resistant

Growing tips

Heavy grower, for more yield, harvest fruits young. Harden off before planting. Likes warm, wind-protected locations. Sensitive to frost. Several plants can pollinate each other. Harvest regularly so new fruit will form continuously. Fertilize and water regularly. Follow crop rotation. Home-grown seeds are strongly discouraged for zucchini because the toxic bitter substance cucurbitacin can form. Mixed cultivation with borage promotes pollination. Pumpkins and zucchinis of the same species can interbreed, zucchini can become bitter and inedible or poisonous (due to so-called curcurbitacins).
