F1 hybrid. Climbing climbing zucchini. Dark green, crunchy, 15-25 cm long fruits. Suitable for patio & balcony, for climbing on strings or trellises. Must be tied, as zucchini has no anchorage of its own. Also for raised beds. Space-saving. Good resistance to various viruses and powdery mildew. Long-lived and high-yielding. Germination after 6-10 days at 18-24°C.
F1 Hybrid
Not frost resistant
Harden off before planting. Likes warm, wind-protected locations. Sensitive to frost. Several plants pollinate each other. Harvest regularly so new fruit will form continuously. Fertilize and water regularly. Follow crop rotation. Home-grown seeds are strongly discouraged for zucchini because the toxic bitter substance cucurbitacin can form. Mixed cultivation with borage promotes pollination. Pumpkins and zucchinis of the same species can interbreed, zucchini can become bitter and inedible or poisonous (due to so-called curcurbitacins).
