Description

F1 hybrid. High yielding, early maturing, safe for cultivation. Light green fruits. Resistant to zucchini yellow mosaic virus, powdery mildew, ring spot disease and watermelon mosaic virus. Harvest at 15-20 cm. Mild sweet taste. Germination after 8-14 days at 20-24°C.

Growing tips

Harden off before planting. Likes warm, wind-protected locations. Sensitive to frost. Several plants can pollinate each other. Harvest regularly so new fruit will form continuously. Fertilize and water regularly. Follow crop rotation. Home-grown seeds are strongly discouraged for zucchini because the toxic bitter substance cucurbitacin can form. Mixed cultivation with borage promotes pollination. Pumpkins and zucchinis of the same species can interbreed, zucchini can become bitter and inedible or poisonous (due to so-called curcurbitacins).
