Late winter variety with medium-length, straight stems. The variety is very frost-hardy. Leek is an amaryllis plant with good heat and cold tolerance. In the first year, the thickened stem forms for consumption. The dense root system loosens the soil for the following crop. It can be grown both early for harvesting in summer and later for harvesting in fall to winter.
