Long-stemmed autumn leek, tall-growing with medium-thick, long stem. Steep leaf position, medium-late development time. Hardly any bulb formation, very good cleaning ability. High yield. Taste pleasantly aromatic and balanced. (Found at Bingenheimer Saatgut.)
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Thrives in a sunny or semi-shaded place. When planting out, insert about 10 cm deep into the soil. Harden off beforehand if necessary. By mounding the white shafts will be longer. Fertilize in August for the last time, otherwise the winter hardiness will suffer. In case of bare frost and very cold weather, cover the beds with fleece. Good for soil health by loosening the soil from the roots of leeks.
