Vivagrande is our first beef tomato with outstanding resistance to late blight (Phythophthora infestans). The variety produces exceptionally high yields in the open field. The red fruits have a fruit weight of about 200g and a remarkably good fruit quality for beef tomatoes. The taste is pleasantly mild and balanced. Due to the large fruits and firm flesh, Vivagrande is an excellent cooking tomato, of which larger quantities can be processed quickly. The plants have a very low vigor and can therefore be grown easily in a tub or on lower trellises.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
