The sunflower is an annual plant from the composite family that grows up to 3 m high. With its hairy flower stalk and strong taproot, it is relatively drought-resistant. It flowers from August to September. The flower always turns towards the sun - hence its name. Varieties differ in growth height, flower color and filling with seeds.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Sunflowers can be sown directly or grown in pots. They require a lot of water and light. In strong winds, the plants tend to bend, so plant them in a sheltered spot or provide them with a support to which you can tie them.
